A Student Scenario
A junior psychology major, Kathy wants to eventually earn
a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and then practice psychotherapy.
Working as an intern with Dr. Leon, Executive Director of
hte local community health center, she realizes that she is
also attracted to the administrative side of mental health
care. Dr. Leon alerts her to the fact that clinical skills
are not enough and that mental health administrators need
to have business and organizational skills as well.
